EnrolmentCREA courses are open to everyone. You can enrol online (if you have a Dutch bank account) or at the CREA office (Mon-Fri 9.00 am-5.00 pm).
Students take precedenceUntil September 1st 2016, only students (of all universities and colleges) and graduates/staff of UvA and HvA can register for new courses. All others can enroll from September 1st 2016.
CostsThere are different course rates for:
• Students of all universities and colleges.
Don't forget to bring your student card the first meeting to prove you are a student.
• Graduates and staff members of the UvA and HvA.
Don't forget to bring a photocopy of your diploma or valid document to prove your employment to the first meeting.
• Others: everyone who doesn't belong to one of the categories mentioned above.
Enrolment onlineIf your bank account works with iDEAL, you can enrol online. Please make sure you have all the necessary codes and information with you, so you won't get caught off when things take too long. After competing your enrolment, you will receive a confirmation e-mail after completing your enrolment. Please contact our office if you don't receive the confirmation.
Enrolment at CREAYou don't have a Dutch bank account? No worries, you can enrol at our office. Bring with you your university registration card. After your payment (cash or PIN) you will receive your CREA membership form straight away.
CREA does not refund course contributions which have been paid unless:
- your course is cancelled;
- you cancel your enrolment at least two weeks before the course starts;
- you were not accepted after an audition (wherever relevant).
Anyone who registers for a CREA course, thereby agrees to our conditions. This includes the possible cancellation of courses, refundment and our entry requirements. So read them carefully first (see below).
Those who have been admitted to the course of their choice will be asked to show their status at the first class meeting. UvA and HvA students, who follow full time of part time classes should bring their valid student cards. Those who have recently completed their studies should bring a copy of their diploma. UvA and HvA staff members should provide proof of their being employed by one of these institutions.
Cancellation and reimbursement
If there are not enough participants for a certain course, CREA can decide to cancel the course. In that case the participant will be informed as soon as possible and will be reimbursed.
CREA is entitled to alter the course schedule. When a course or part of a course is cancelled, the participant will be reimbursed for the whole or part of the fee.
The participant can only cancel his participation in writing. When he cancels the course until 2 weeks in advance he will be reimbursed for the full amount. The date of receipt of the cancellation will determine this. When a participant cancels his participation within 2 weeks in advance, CREA will claim the full amount of the fee and no refund will take place.
If a participant is not admitted to a course after an audition, he will be reimbursed.
In case of illness or if the teacher is unable to give a lesson another teacher will be asked to replace him or the lesson will be rescheduled at the end. This lesson may take place on a different day and time.
If there are certain requirements before being admitted to a course and CREA decides that the participant does not comply with these requirements, CREA is entitled to remove him from the list or, if possible, to transfer him to another course. When such a transfer takes place, the course fee may have to be adjusted. When a participant is not admitted he will be charged with paying € 25,- for administrative expenses.
Absence of participants
When a participant is unable to attend a lesson, he should call CREA to inform them.
Photography and video recordings
It is customary that during courses and presentations photos are taken and video recordings made for PR use, such as flyers, posters, the CREA website and the media. Unless you make your objections known prior to the course (CREA, t.a.v. cursusadministratie, Nieuwe Achtergracht 170, 1018 WV Amsterdam, mentioning the course in question) CREA assumes that you agree to this. Naturally you can always tell the photographer on the spot if you don’t wish to be photographed.
Works made during the courses
Works made by participants during the courses will be kept no longer than 3 weeks after the course has ended.
CREA accepts no liability for damage or the loss of property and goods of participants.
