Electronic music production Iprintversie

This course is in English. Some of the courses in Dutch are also accessible for non-Dutchies. For more info check the specific course you’re interested in.

Electronic music exists in various forms – ranging from Techno, Deep House, Electronica, Dub-step, TechHouse, Hip Hop, acid to more exotic forms – and can be summarized as all forms of music in which electronic sounds and beats play a role.

The Netherlands are internationally well known for their Dutch electronic music scene. In this course we also take a look at other countries: what is happening for example in Berlin and London?

The course
The course caters for upcoming producer talents, creative laptop DJ's and singersongwriters who want to record and support their songs electronically. You learn to create electronic music with the computer. To compose, produce and creatively manipulate music.

Step by step and in a fundamental and creative way, you learn to work with the Ableton Live software. The course is divided in three parts: the making of beats and sounds (synthesis), the transformation of existing sound and finally mix your work.

Entrance Requirements
Everybody is welcome.

The software Ableton Live had been acquired by CREA and can be used in the classroom.

Next step
People who can't get enough, are more than welcome to move on to Electronic Music Production II.
