Filmmaking: documentaryprintversieDocumentary is an exciting and unique art form, and in this course, students will actually make their own documentary films.
Students will first learn the necessary concepts and styles of documentary film, and then students will put this into practice. Each student will, in small groups and individually, shoot a total of two short documentary films, and edit them for a final presentation.
Students will learn how to plan, produce, interview, shoot and edit, using equipment provided by CREA.
There will be a final screening of work in the CREA Theater on June 5, 2016.
No prior filmmaking knowledge is necessary. The course is taught in English but Dutch speakers are welcome to join.
During the course, you can use the equipment that is present at CREA. We use digital camera's and edit with Adobe Premiere Pro.
You will work with camera's that need SDHD memory cards. You can use the camera's outside the actual course itself. You need to provide your own memory card to store your footage.
At the beginning of each class every student gets a pass with a bar code which allows him or her to use video equipment.
