DSLR film workshopprintversieThis course is in English. Please subscribe here.
This is a 4-day workshop, taking place over two weekends, in which we will dive into the world of DSLR filmmaking! During this course you will have to bring your own camera. Please note! This has to be a DSLR camera (or any interchangeable lens camera).
We will focus both on technical and creative aspects of working with DSLR cameras. Meaning we'll cover subjects like operating your camera, using lenses, sound recording, and importing footage to your computer.
But we'll also look at how to implement this knowledge creatively. The workshop will be a little bit theoretical but mostly hands-on as we'll be going into town to put everything into practice. You'll be given specific assignments, which we'll put together to result in a collaborative final film.
This is a beginner's workshop in which you'll learn how to make the most of your camera for shooting film, even if you don't have access to professional gadgets.
Keep in mind a few things: there will be homework between the two weekends (yes, we're making a film!)
You need to bring your own equipment, consisting of:
- DSLR camera (or any interchangeable lens camera) with HD video function and at least one lens
- Audio recording solution (whether it's a mic to plug into your camera or a separate audio recorder)
- Laptop (if you don't have Adobe Premiere Pro CC, don't worry we'll download a trial version when the course starts. Keep in mind this is only valid for one week!)
To sign up you need to register and pay first. Then fill in this form stating which equipment you will bring along (be as specific as possible). You can also sign up as a team of two people maximum bringing one set of equipment.
